Wine Night – At Home Date Night

Hey Everyone! It’s been a minute since I’ve posted but I promise I am doing great over here. After the wedding in September, it was followed up immediately by Honeymoon, the holiday season, and a promotion at work! I’m starting to finally settle into my new routine and I am excited to be back! First off, how is everyone reading this? I’m hoping you have been creating some awesome things and having fun while you do it.

Something that my husband (LOVE writing that now), and I continue to do is make time for new date nights. For Valentines, one of his gifts was an at home wine tasting. I mean, come on! What a perfect at home date night! He gifted 3 wines (Sauvignon Blanc, Rose, and Pinot Noir), and custom tasting sheets for notes. I’ve included a picture of the gifted wines and trust me, the Rose was incredible! Feeling inspired by his gift, I decided to design and create a listing on Etsy for a digital download wine tasting sheet and wine reference sheet. Check it out here!

If you do purchase, remember that wines are not included but your recommendations are encouraged in the comments below or on the listing!

The Perfect Blend – Coffee Wedding Favors

We are so happy and very lucky that we were able to have a wedding with all of our close family and friends in attendance. Wedding favors are the perfect way to send guests home a little personalized message of “we appreciate that you came”. Below is what we did but there are so many great ideas out there! Make it unique to who you are as a couple or incorporate a special memory. My husband and I had our first date at a coffee shop, so we brought that coffee (same shop!) back to our wedding day as our favor.

Comment with what you did for your favors (or what you want to do one day).

A Coffee Lover’s Review of Whipped Coffee

Dalgona coffee, AKA whipped coffee, has been trending in the past few weeks and I finally caved on trying it out. The history buff in me was dying to know why all of a sudden this drink is everywhere on my social media feed! Thankfully the New York Times answered that question for me. It first gained traction in South Korea in January after an actor, Jung Il-woo tried it in Macau and said it reminded him of the honeycomb toffee confection called dalgona. It resurfaced again with a TikTok user prepping it at home and now it feels like everyone is giving this drink a go.

Have you made this whipped coffee drink? Comment below with what you thought of it!

Dalgona Coffee – Recipe Included!

First thing to clear up, the reason I waited so long to try it. Instant coffee is not my favorite. That is saying a lot considering I’ll drink just about any coffee. Everything from the remnants of yesterday’s bottom of the pot roast at home to the fancier cappuccinos and peppermint mocha’s and cold brews. Instant coffee is bitter to me so it had me a little nervous. Putting my preference aside, I couldn’t help but wonder what it tasted like. Curiosity got to me and early last week I was ordering instant coffee on Amazon to try it out.

I judged the coffee on three things: difficulty, taste, and would I make it again.
