Colorful Bunny Easter Decoration

It is springtime and almost Easter where you would expect rain and maybe a little sunshine. Where we live though, it has decided winter has not yet been long enough and we again got another snowstorm all day today! We are craving sunshine, spring fever is very real haha. Thankfully we have a new machine to play with that keeps us indoors and busy.

This project is a quick Easter decoration that we used our new machine to test settings out. I am loving how it turned out with its bright, Peep treat colors! I went with the bright pink, my mom went with the bright blue and both of us are considering making a few more to add the other’s and yellow to the mix! To top it off we even used a Pearl finish to get that cute fluffy tail to stand out even with the brightly colored bunny background.

Easter Cutout for Interchangeable HOME Sign

Happy Easter Everyone! I hope this year you are all able to safely spend time with your loved ones and enjoy eating as many Reese’s Peanut Butter Eggs as you want! I try not to eat too much candy but something about Easter morning I always reach for one of those peanut buttery delicious eggs (usually before breakfast, oops!). Anyone else like that with a specific candy on Easter?

One of my favorite decoration additions to our house is this interchangeable home sign. It allows me to get creative with a cutout of my choice from start to finish. This one came together quickly and that’s all thanks to my scroll saw and Cricut machine. If you need holiday gnome inspiration checkout my St. Patrick’s or Christmas cutouts! DIY Easter Egg Sign with Peek-A-Boo Bunny Ears

It has been a crazy couple of months here at our house and I imagine it will only get busier as we get closer to the wedding date! I am so excited to share all of the fun projects that are coming together for the wedding but I will be saving them for after the celebration. I don’t want to spoil any of the surprise for guests that follow me here on the blog. I have not been as active on here between my day job (short staffed) and wedding plans so taking a step away to do a quick Easter project was a welcome change. I found this wooden egg sign at Michaels for 50% off and started playing with an egg design and bunny ears popping out from behind. Jury is still out on if I will keep the bunny ears because I love the egg design too much, hello glittery top coat!

Disney Themed Interchangeable HOME Sign

A few weeks back I shared that I was commissioned to do two of these interchangeable home signs for one of my friends. Drumroll please…. It’s finished! It was completed a few weeks before Christmas but with the 12 Days of Cookies, I didn’t have time to get this one up. I am so excited to share how it turned out with all of you! Check out the video below and make sure to subscribe to see more fun crafts.

Let me know your favorite! I am between the gingerbread Mickey or the Jack-O-Lantern Mickey.

TWO Easter Bread Recipes

Easter 2020 is over and even though it was celebrated different than in past years, it was still a very memorable day. Along with being Easter, it was my boyfriend and I’s 4 year anniversary! We actually went on our first date the day before Easter 4 years ago, and the rest is history. Four years ago I made this Italian Easter Bread for the first time and it’s made an appearance every year since! This year was a little extra special as we spent the day at our new house still as dreamy eyed in love as 4 years ago (and eating A LOT of bread). With a little extra time on my hands this Easter compared to years past, I decided to make not one but TWO types of breads! The first was our families Italian Easter Bread and the other was Hot Cross Buns.

Italian Easter Bread fresh out of the oven!

I highly recommend making both! They are both yeast breads but the dough is much more foolproof. One of the reasons is the use of instant yeast, meaning you put the yeast with all other ingredients instead of placing it in warm water/milk to activate. Read on for the Italian Easter Bread recipe. The Hot Cross Buns recipe is compliments of King Arthurs Flour and can be found here.

Quick Burlap Bunny Craft

It has been so busy lately that some craft time was very much needed for both of us. We wanted to fit one more craft in before Easter and we did, but this post unfortunately didn’t make it before Easter. This burlap bunny is rustic, fun, and super quick to make (Even the pom pom tail)! Not only did we do this craft within an hour, we had all of the supplies we needed at the house. We finished the craft early enough to make some Italian Easter Bread and relax before the Easter Bunny made his visits on Saturday night.BurlapBunny Continue reading “Quick Burlap Bunny Craft”

Hop Hop Hooray, It’s Easter Wreaths

Is there anything more satisfying than taking items that apart are nothing but together can make something so beautiful? (I feel like the main girl in the Hallmark movie Christmas in Love writing out that line and I love it!) For me, creating will make any day better and I feel completely in my element. Nine times out of ten, the project I start with, is not the one I end up with either. There are adjustments, recalculations along the way but in the end what I’ve made is new and exciting. With Easter a few weeks away, we decided to start the month off with an Easter Wreath craft.
