2020 has definitely started off with a bang at our household. After going in to the dentist on Friday because of some tooth pain, I ended up with one of my four wisdom teeth removed that same morning! And yes, I do need to get the other three removed in about a month after the swelling from this one is gone. If you have had a wisdom tooth removed, you know that you are limited to only soft foods for at least 24 hours. Sometimes the best recipes are made out of necessity. This was absolutely one of them because I woke up on Saturday needing my morning coffee (but I should stay away from hot liquids), and I needed some protein in my system. Lucky for me I had brought some protein powder a few days ago so a coffee protein shake was a must. I drank it up so quickly there isn’t a photo to share because 1) coffee hello! and 2) the cold felt good on my mouth and throat.
I researched a lot of protein powders before selecting the one I did. I ended up going with Bobs Red Mill Whey Protein Concentrate. What I love about it is that it doesn’t have any additional flavor (meaning no added sugars, yay).
Comment below with your go to protein powder!
