Halloween Brunch – Take Two

Picture this… You walk into a bar area adorned in cobwebs and skeletons, with thriller playing, and a spiked Frankenstein punch waiting for you on the table. You grab your eerily green drink with gummy worms sloshing in the bottom of your cup as you make your way up the stairs with strobe lights and spooky sounds. You reach the top of the stairs to be greeted to a full Halloween brunch complete with a themed table sheltered in purple twinkling lights. Sound like a good Sunday morning to you? Us too! That’s exactly what we prepped in our 2022 Halloween themed brunch with my in laws.

This brunch turned out so great! We have it in the top 3 with our Thanksgiving themed brunch in 2021 and our previous Halloween brunch in 2019. I’ve included links to the recipes used below after our photos.

Valentine’s Day Brunch

Even though it is the last day of February, I had to make sure I shared our brunch this month because it turned out AMAZING! You’ll notice the item we focused on the most from Valentine’s Day is the iconic heart shape. We used it for the finger sandwiches, the strawberry pastries, and even attempted to give the sausages a heart shape! This felt like the most successful one since our Halloween themed brunch back in 2019; that one still taking the first place spot because of the decorations.

I have included a lot of great stuff for you below! There are links to the recipes for Strawberry Nutella Cream Cheese French Toast and the Strawberry Breakfast Pastries. Also included are the instructions for folding the heart shaped napkin, and how we made Raspberry Cupid’s, our boozy beverage!

Halloween Themed Brunch

I think I’ve raved about brunch before but I can’t help but bring it up again. Another excuse to have breakfast food but a little later in the day? Yes please! Every month my boyfriend’s family rotates houses on brunch. Now that we have our own place, our cute apartment got added to the rotation and we got the month of October. What a perfect opportunity to make a Halloween themed brunch! I’ll post the recipes in the coming days so make sure to keep coming back to see the menu unveiled. Today’s focus is the decorations because every good Halloween party needs the right decorations.

Warning though: I am not a person who loves the frightening side of Halloween… AT ALL. My ideal level of scary is watching “It’s the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown” and only listening to the scary movie theme songs with all the lights on. I know, I have the taste of a 5 year old in Halloween scares and I am almost 26! Thankfully, for my sake, our brunch was a mellow take on Halloween decorations.
