Slow Cooker Spiked Apple Cider

When coming up with a Halloween themed brunch, one of the first decisions that I wanted to settle on was the mixed drink that everyone could enjoy (slightly embarrassing that this was before even food decisions were made). Say what you will though, is it even brunch if you don’t have a fun drink in your hand? I thought about going with the classic mimosa because… well… mimosas are always a good idea with brunch. I scrolled through Pinterest looking at fun “Witch Margarita’s” or “Purple People Eaters”. What I settled on though was to make a spiked apple cider in my crockpot. With all of the cooking ahead, I knew that utilizing the crockpot would be extremely helpful. This drink turned out even better than I hoped. It warmed all of our guests up and tasted like fall in a cup.

Ingredients:

  • 14 cups apple cider
  • 1 ½ cups Fireball Whiskey
  • ½ cup Caramel
  • 3 Cinnamon Sticks (more for garnish if desired)

Directions:

Place all of the ingredients into the crockpot. Stir. Cook on low for 2-3 hours.

To serve: Ladle into mugs. Finish with an extra cinnamon stick if desired.
